A new package, nodemailer, provides an easy-to-use abstraction for sending e-mail. With Nodemailer, you can stuff your mail into a bio object and have the library handle sending and other SMTP-related tasks. It turns out that the libclientsmdsmtp-dns package -- meant to do the same thing -- has a bug. It has multiple package dependencies and the version of that library doesn't work with our TLS library. So we created a new library called nodemailer. Nodemailer uses the same API and is intended to replace the libclientsmdsmtp-dns package. While you should generalize your email code or use the newer nodemailer library in the future, for now you'll just have to be aware of the difference.PR #9079
Let's face it: you don't want to write error handling code. Error handling belongs in the domain model. What we actually want is proper domain model design (a data source, a collection of business logic, a state machine, etc.), using the model to express invariants and the state machine to manage the state, and view models that map the view to the model at runtime. Now we finally have a clear separation of these concerns. As you can see in all these places, the magic Javascript class pattern works even better than in tinytalk.PR #9552 7211a4ac4a
